Hard Times

Last week I got bitten by a spider (we think it was a spider). I got bitten on the top of my foot. I have been in pain and itching since then. I have talked to several doctors and they have no clue what to do about my foot. Just this week the rash started to cover my whole foot and is starting to run up my leg.  I have not had one inch of relief since this has started. Laying here tonight trying to think how I am going to get some relief I started to think about my family. We have been through so much lately. My mom lost her job that she has been working at for 10 years now, we moved to Winfield, (very sad for my mom) we lost a dear sweet lady (my great aunt) who I think about every day, my brother broke his foot and had to overcome a lot of obstacles at work and home, I was told I could not wear contacts anymore due to red blood cells in my eyes, Lane my sister in law lost her job that she LOVED, and now this mystery on my foot.
I am not doing this blog for pity I am actually doing this blog to brag a little because with all this stuff happening to me and my family we are still standing and standing STORNG I might add.
If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.
I saw this youtube tonight and thought it would go so well with this blog.

Relying On God More

This Sunday I was seating in church and I was thinking about all the problems in my life and how in the world I was going fix them. Well, the preacher was talk about Christian life, he said just because you are a Christian does not mean you will never have hard ships and what makes Christians different is that we rely on God. There is was folks it felt like the preacher was talking just to me. We find ourselves trying to make everything happen for us and not praying more to Jesus to help us through it.

So get up and tell God, “Good morning. Please stay with me today.” Tell Him anything else that is on your mind. When you go to bed at night, tell Him, “Good night. Thanks for being with me today.” Tell Him anything you need to unload before going to sleep. Talk with Him while you go through your day. Share what you are about to do. Ask Him to help with the decisions you are about to make. Follow-up with thanks for blessings that occur and etc.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says we should give thanks in every circumstance. No doubt, this is part of walking in God’s presence, but it is so important that I want to give it its own special recognition.

According to 2 Corinthians 12:10, we are only strong when we are weak. Only when we recognize we can’t win will we truly give ourselves over to God and let Him win the victories through us.

Happy 2012!!

On December 31, 2010 Zach and I was going over our year that we had together. Before it became midnight we started a tradition that we are going to try to uphold every year.

1.    Tell each other one good thing about the year of 2011

2.    We are going to come up with something we want to accomplish before the year ends of 2012

Zach and I are so bless to have such a wonderful family and friends and I believe to be so blessed to have Zach Nix as my husband. The year of 2011, was not the best year for Zach and I, don’t get me wrong we should have nothing to complain about. We have a great family and friends and they are all healthy but Zach and I felt like the year of 2011 past by us like a world wind.

Like some people know Zach and I live right in front of my parents in a very small house. (one bedroom) I am so grateful to my parents for letting us redone my great grandmothers house but it is just in the wrong location for us and we can’t grow in it. Zach has to drive a least 35 mins to his job everyday so he leaves the house at 6:45 am and then after school he coaches a sport (basketball, baseball, and football) he gets to come home all most every night around 10:30pm not leaving me and him anytime because I am in bed, I have to work the next day.

Zach and I are going to try to make this year count. We have so many things we want to accomplish this year. We are trying to WAIT on God plans so we are hoping this year is the year for us. We are using the bible verses to direct our 2012 year.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
