Our New Family Member :)

God has a sense of humor! J

Sunday's at my house is going to church, eating at my granny’s, lying around, napping, and playing outside. While this Sunday on October 2, started off being like every other Sunday until, me and my sister in law Lane took Allie Beth outside to ride in her brand new red wooden wagon.

Let me start you off by telling you how much my sweet niece Allie Beth LOVES going outside playing with the dogs, donkeys and horses. Before Allie Beth could really start talking she could say the horse name, she has loved animals from day one.

Anyways, so here we all go walking up and down the drive way pushing Allie. Allie of course wanted to see the donkeys and horses. We start walking to the horses; lane and I notice some kind of animal laying beside one of our donkeys.  Lane said I wonder what that is laying beside the donkey and I said maybe that is Mallie (our lab). I started looking around me and I said no it can’t be Mallie she was standing right behind me. Lane and I started calling the donkey and once we did the unknown animal stood up and we both looked at each other with eyes WIDE open saying “omgOSH!!!! We have a BABY DONKEY!!!” We could not help to start laugh and trying to actually get my family to come out and see it because they thought we were lying.

We are all so happy about our new addition to the family. Allie Beth gets to name the new baby donkey and so far she has been calling it Happy. I don’t’ know for sure if the name will be Happy  forever because if you don’t know by now Allie Beth walks the moon around here and she can change it as many times as she wants lol!!    I love my sweet niece.  GOD is sooo Good!!

Sooo here is our sweet new addition…. J

Praying.and more Praying....

For the past couple of months the word praying has been on my mind. I got saved when I was 15 years old and I remember that day like it was yesterday. I can’t even tell you at the time what our pastor was talking about that morning but something came over me and all I wanted him to do was to shut up so I could get my butt down there to the alter.  The whole church service that morning I was praying to god to help me get down to the alter, I had a friend beside (Kala) and I ask her if she would go up there with me when it was time. Finally, it was time and all I can remember was taking Kala’s hand and taking that first step.   From Kala story I took her and as soon as I got up I let go and pretty much ran down to the pastor with tears running down my face.
Little did I know that was the beginning of my praying.
In high school I prayed at night and that was all, in college it kept getting shorter but I prayed at night, until I might my sweet, loving husband. He showed me what I knew and saw when I was 15 years old the power of praying. Zach and I have been trying our hardest to live and create a house of the Lord.  I have learned that praying the Scriptures will increase your spiritual growth. You actually learn what God says about certain situations, and by praying His Word you will see His results. Many people have testified that just by praying the healing scriptures they have been healed, physically as well as mentally. Zach and I have commitment to pray more throughout the day to just thank God for so many blessings.
Most people when they hear the word commitment, their first response is, "I don't have time for another commitment." But if you want your circumstances in your life to change you need to make a commitment to pray the Scriptures out loud every day. Then you will see how praying with the powerful force of God's Word will cause you to be praying in victory. You will have victory in your life, in your home, and be able to handle situations as easily as Jesus would have handled them.
Always Pray.
P.S. Pray for Zach and I we are going through a lot of decisions and trials for our future and we are praying we are choosing the right ones J

1 year of Marriage :)

Man, I am not doing too well on the blog thing and I am going to try harder from now on
When you are down to nothing GOD is up to something!
I’ve been married little over a year now. MARRIED. That seems so weird to me sometimes; I’m Zach’s wife, and Zach’s my husband. More often than not, I wonder when I got to be old enough to even be someone’s wife, Or to refer to ourselves as the Nix’s. It has been a great, wonderful, crazy, loving and not so boring year of marriage.  All things considered, it was a wonderful first year. We learned something new about each other on a daily basis, we laughed a LOT, we had our first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, Birthdays, Easter,  filed taxes jointly for the first time (lol), and much more as a married couple. Have things been absolutely perfect? No, of course not, but when they’re not perfect, we’ve learned to be there for each other, supporting the other one through thick and thin and trust on the Lord.
God has been so good to Zach and I, He has blessed us with so many things to be thankful for. I thank God everyday showing me the path to Zach Nix; I know God has big plan for us.

One thing I have found so funny is since Zach and I have been married for 1 year now everybody we see or talk to is ALWAYS asking; when are we having a baby? MAN! People really want us to have a baby! Lol! But Zach and I have been praying and talking about this question. We live in a one bedroom house and I just don’t think it is big enough for one more person and I am still in school. Those two statements are the ones that are really keeping us for having a baby for right now, BUT  DON’T GET ME WRONG if God see us having a baby right now that will be his will and we will be the HAPPIEST parents in the world.  J J

So Zach and I got married in September because I love fall weather, I was not thinking I should have known I was marrying a teacher/COACH. Which mean we have NO free time in the fall because of football.  Don’t get me wrong I love football and loving going to football games watching Zach coach, but when football cuts into my time with Zach. I get a little mad. So, we decide to get a new bed and TV for our 1 year. So I am ok with that because Zach took me out and spent the WHOLE day with me and NO phones. It was a GREAT day!!!  Sometimes we fall into everyday life and don’t realize we need to make sure we spend time for us.  (Pic coming soon of bed and TV)
